Boracay

11am Thursday, Jul13th - Arrival on Boracay. I saw the beach from the tiny crabby plane and was overwhelmed. It is wide, 9km long and WHITE....arriving in the resort the first tropical storm started since I am here. And it was a rather rough storm, I thought my room will swim away. Nevermind, today it is getting sunnier again, my resort is lovely, I found a Gym (juhuuu!), will look for the Diving club tomorrow, the beach is AS beautiful as it looked from the top, the sand feels like powdersugar. It is huge and covered with palmtrees.
A massage here costs CHF 7.80, Pedicure 5.-.....I think I have to get advantage of that....the place is not as quiet as Panglao Island, more touristic. The village is really ugly, but I am a bit away from it in my resort right at the beach. I will enjoy this place now for one week till I go back to Manila to start work! To my pleasure Eden told me that my working place is close to a very nice beach which I can enjoy on the weekend....I like that....

11Uhr, Donnerstag, 13.Juli, Ankunft in Boracay. Ich erblickte den beruehmten Strand schon vom Flugzeug (klein, wacklig, lotterig) und war wiedermal ueberwaeltigt. Schneeweis, megalang und breit, ueberall Palmen. Als ich im Hotel ankam, ging ein starker Tropiksturm los, der erste, seit ich hier bin, aber so stark, dass ich dachte mein Hotel schwimmt davon. Unglaublich. Heute ist es schon wieder sonniger und ich freu mich auf den Strand. Habe ein Fitness Center gefunden(juhui) werde morgen den Taucherclub suchen und mir ein zwei Wellnessachen goennen, das ist hier alles so superbillig (Massage 1 Stunde 7.80CHF). Es ist schoen hier, wenn auch touristischer als in Panglao Island. Das Dorf ist ziemlich haesslich, aber mein Resort ist ein bisschen weg davon grad am Strand. Der Sand ist so fein, fuehlt sich an wie Puderzucker.Hier werde ich nun eine Woche bleiben, bis dann meine Projekte anfangen. Zu meiner Freude hat Eden mir mitgeteilt, dass mein Platz nahe beim Strand ist, und ich da am Wochenende oder abends hingehen kann....toll.....:-)
